  The Asian American / Asian Research Institute (AAARI) was established on November 19, 2001, by The City University of New York (CUNY) Board of Trustees, in a resolution introduced by Chancellor Matthew Goldstein. The Institute is a university-wide scholarly research and resource center that focuses on policies and issues that affect Asians and Asian Americans. It covers four areas: Asian American Studies; East Asian Studies; South Asian Studies; and Trade & Technology Studies.

• Donate to Asian American Performers Action Coalition (AAPAC)

  AAPAC (the Asian American Performers Action Coalition) was started by a group of Asian American creatives in 2011 to expand the perception of Asian American performers in order to increase their access to and representation on New York City's stages. We have hosted several initiatives to demand accountability and authenticity in casting and opportunities in the American Theatre and are the authors of the annual Visibility Report. The Report covers employment statistics by race for actors, playwrights, composers, librettists, directors, and designers for all of Broadway and the 18 largest non-profit theatre companies in New York City. It is the only publicly available report of its kind, providing hard data to back up feelings of invisibility within the Asian American theatre community. The Report's findings have contributed to gains in diversity for Asian American theatre artists. For our advocacy work, AAPAC received the Obie Awards' 2020 Special Citation for Advocacy in the Field of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and 2022 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre. AAPAC is a grassroots organization comprised of volunteers.   Send Chinatown Love is a New York based, entirely volunteer run organization that supports Asian- and immigrant-owned small businesses across all of the city's Chinatowns. Our mission is to respond to the needs of Asian-owned businesses by providing customized services and resources, while also creating opportunities for our community to connect with these businesses. With all initiatives, Send Chinatown Love hopes to build a more resilient future for these businesses and for NYC’s Chinatowns. Our team of engineers, designers, creators, and storytellers from various industries share one thing in common: we want to help save the immigrant-run mom-and-pops of NYC Chinatowns. By applying digital solutions to this goal, our team hopes to bring economic relief to our local noodle shops, bakeries, and more. Businesses in Chinatown were hit first by the pandemic, suffering revenue losses of 60-80% as early as February 2020 as anti-Asian sentiment swelled. Today, merchants are still struggling to stay afloat due to steep decreases in foot traffic and mounting expenses. Join us today to help secure Chinatown’s tomorrow.​
