Albia Holy Cow
About
More than any other race on the Iowa Gravel Series, Albia has changed the most. It's always kept its charm and challenge as you race through cattle farms and the Stephens State Forest, but there is so much available in Monroe and Lucas county that we keep finding great ways to string together some amazing terrain. Yes that means you might cross railroad tracks and rivers and maybe even have to deal with the rollers in Hiteman, but you're not worried, you've got thisโฆ ๐
This year we're back at the Monroe county fairgrounds, which offers great camping with electric hook-ups. So, pack the gear up in the vehicle and get ready to enjoy a warm (hopefully ๐ค) summer evening exploring South central Iowa before you head out for gravel ride of your life. It will either leave you speechless or sayingโฆ ๐ ๐ฎ

Donate to Support the Dream TeamIn 1996, a concern for disadvantaged and at-risk youth caused a small group of Des Moines cyclists to discuss how these youngsters could participate in RAGBRAI. Working as a grassroots organization, they successfully obtained equipment, recruited, and trained youth to participate in Dream Team activities in1997. The Dream Team is a five month program that partners youth with adult mentors to provide a unique opportunity to build relationships, achieve personal growth, and learn life skills. The program culminates with a week long bicycle ride across Iowa and the emotional experience of riding from the Missouri to the Mississippi River. The young adults in the program build confidence and self esteem while learning that healthy goals can be attained with sufficient planning and preparation.
